Welcome to Oman! Over the next eight days, you’ll embark on an unforgettable journey through this stunning country, experiencing its rich heritage, dramatic landscapes, and warm hospitality. Each day will bring a new adventure from the bustling streets of Muscat to the tranquil mountain heights of Jebel Shams, the mystical desert dunes, and the serene wadis.
Your journey begins with your arrival in Muscat, followed by a scenic drive through Oman’s rugged terrain to Jebel Shams, where you’ll stay in a luxurious resort perched 2000 meters above sea level. The next few days will take you to the historic cities of Nizwa and Sur, where you’ll explore ancient forts, and bustling souks, and marvel at Oman’s fascinating culture and architecture.
In the desert, you’ll experience camel riding, quad biking, and the unique Bedouin camp lifestyle, with plenty of time to relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore natural wonders like Wadi Bani Khalid, Wadi Shab, and the Bimmah Sinkhole, before returning to Muscat for your final days, where you can shop at the Muttrah Souq or unwind before your departure.
This carefully curated itinerary ensures you’ll experience the best of Oman’s diverse landscapes and vibrant culture, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.
Itinerary
Day1: Welcome to Oman
Arrival Muscat Airport
Finish the immigration and transfer to the hotel (Royal Tulip Muscat)
Breakfast at the Hotel
Start From the Hotel towards Jabla Shams.
Stop for Lunch at a local home in Samail.
After Lunch Drive directly to Alhamra where 4x4 Cars ready to take you to the resort 2000m above the sea level.
Arrive at the Resort for check-in.
Dinner at the Resort.
Dinner and Overnight at Jabal Shams Resort
Day 2: Jebel Shams to Nizwa
Early morning hike to the lookout point (start at 08:00 to avoid the heat and shorten the hike).
Return to the resort for a shower and rest.
Departure to Al Hamra to visit the charming village
Departure to Nizwa.
Overnight in Nizwa.
Day 3: Exploring Nizwa
Visit Nizwa Fort – A quick tour and a brief review of the museum section.
Free time – Guests can enjoy some personal time to explore Nizwa at their own pace.
Optional Visit to Beit Sabah is optional as it’s similar to Al Hamra, and you can decide based on the group’s energy levels.
Visit the Falaj Al Khatmain Water System
Overnight in Nizwa.
Day 4 and Day 5 : Desert Trip
Drive to the desert – This will be a longer trip, so you can spend two nights in the desert for a more relaxing experience.
Camel Riding and Quad Biking – Enjoy a day of desert activities, including camel riding and quad biking.
Bedouin Camp – Enjoy the Bedouin camp experience in the evening, without rushing.
Relax at the desert resort – Time to relax, swim and enjoy the tranquility of the desert.
Overnight in the desert.
Day 6: Explore heritage places
Visit Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the best tourist destinations, where you can swim in the long water pools. boulders are scattered along the course of the Wadibas, a geographical area.

Visit Sur City which is known for being an important destination point for sailors. Today these still play an important part of life inSur.
Visit Dhows factory which is famous as a center for constructing dhows, the generic name given to a range of traditional Arabian sailingboats.

Day 7: Wadi Shab , Bimmah Sinkhole
Start the day by walking for 45min to Wadi Shab.
Lunch at local restaurant Wadi Shab.
Visiting the Bimmah Sinkhole Stop by for photos and a brief visit without going into the water.
Arrive Muscat
Dinner at the Hotel.

Day 8: Explore Muscat and Departure
Visit Muttrah Souq – Spend an hour exploring the souk and shopping
Relax at the hotel – Enjoy the pool and take some time to relax before your flight.
Stay in the hotel room until the evening if there is a night flight, so guests can relax before heading to the airport.
